The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Dutchess residents regarding the residency of 58-year-old Alexander Carr, who has reported an address change to an apartment on North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie.
The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Carr a Level 3 threat, which means he is a “high-risk repeat offender and possible threat to public safety.”
According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Carr had deviate sexual intercourse and sexual intercourse with his 14-year-old victim in May 2002. He was convicted of second-degree in sodomy in November that year and sentenced to a term of between 30 months and five years in state prison. He is now under the jurisdiction of the Poughkeepsie Town Police Department.
