The Albany County incident happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, on southbound I-87 in Colonie. New York State Police said troopers attempted to stop a motorcyclist for speeding near Exit 4, but the man continued driving southbound as police followed. He attempted to get off the highway at Exit 2W, but lost control and crashed on the off-ramp. Driver Busted In Stolen U-Haul Truck On Capital Region Highway, Police Say What began as a routine traffic stop on a highway in the region ended with a man in handcuffs and accused of driving a stolen U-Haul truck. A trooper in Albany County pulled the box truck over at around 10:45 a.m. Friday, May 24, on I-87 in Colonie for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations. New York State Police said further investigation determined that the U-Haul truck had been reported stolen to the Colonie Police Department just one day prior.
