New Supermarket To Open In Hudson Valley A new 24-hour-a-day supermarket is opening in the Hudson Valley, focusing on everything fresh.  The Garden Fresh Market, located in Rockland County in Spring Valley, will have its soft opening on Wednesday, Oct. 23, and its grand opening on Saturday, Oct. 26, said owner Wilson Bermeo of New City.  This will be the fourth supermarket for Bermeo, who immigrated from Ecuador in 1995 to live the American Dream. Copper Pipe Thieves Caught In Action At Hudson Valley Building, Police Say Two Hudson Valley men were nabbed while allegedly stealing copper wire and pipes in the basement of a building. The incident occurred in Rockland County around 2:45 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at a building on Patriot Hills Drive in Stony Point. According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stony Point Police, officers responding to the building on a suspicious person call could power tools being used inside. 53-Year-Old Woman Killed In 2-Car Crash In Hudson Valley A 53-year-old Hudson Valley woman was killed in a two-car crash. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 14, at the intersection of New Hempstead Road and Summit Park Road in Ramapo. According to Sgt. Shawn Bakker of the Ramapo Police, responding officers found a 2000 Ford Taurus and a 2007 Honda Accord had crashed.
