Beloved Firefighter Dies After Over 25 Years Of Service In Hudson Valley A Hudson Valley fire department is mourning the loss of one of its active members who served his community for more than a quarter of a century.  The death of Robert "Link" Linkenhoker was announced by Putnam County's Brewster Fire Department on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Crash Temporarily Closes Hudson Valley Road, Causes Injury A vehicle was left on its side following a crash in the Hudson Valley that caused an hour-long road closure.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday afternoon, Oct. 4, when vehicles collided on Starr Ridge Road near Danbury Road (Route 202) in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  One driver suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.  According to the department, Starr Ridge Road was closed for around an hour as the crash site was cleared. Driver Injured After Car Overturns On Hudson Valley Roadway A driver was hospitalized following a rollover crash on a busy Hudson Valley road.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Monday afternoon, July 22, when an Acura flipped on Milltown Road in the village of Brewster near the Connecticut border, according to the Brewster Fire Department.  Arriving first responders found the driver trapped inside the vehicle and were able to free her before taking her to Danbury Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The crash closed Milltown Road on Monday as the scene was cleared, the department said.
