23-Year-Old Found Shot In Broad Daylight In Beacon

A man was found shot on a city street during an incident between several people in the region.

The fight occurred in Dutchess County at 6:20 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 24, on Mill Street in Beacon.

According to Beacon Police Chief Thomas Figlia, officers found the injured 23-year-old Beacon resident on the street; all parties were still on the scene.

Figlia said the unidentified victim was transported to the hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

The investigation into the cause of the shooting is ongoing, but there is no threat to the general public, Figlia said.
