The incident happened in Bellmore, near the intersection of Bellmore Avenue and Merrick Road, shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14. Nassau County Police said 63-year-old Charles Klimovich, of Bellmore, was involved in a car crash and refused to give officers his information to document the incident. Klimovich reportedly became combative and attempted to flee the scene.
