One person suffered severe injuries in a crash near an office park on Long Island. It happened around 7:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in Lake Ronkonkoma. A 46-year-old man was walking southbound in front of 622 Hawkins Ave. when he was struck by a southbound 2016 Subaru Outback, according to Suffolk County Police. 13-Year-Old Caught With Brass Knuckles At Ronkonkoma School, Police Say
A 13-year-old boy is facing charges after he was allegedly caught with brass knuckles at a Long Island school. The incident happened in Lake Ronkonkoma, at Samoset Middle School, at around 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. Suffolk County Police said a staff member asked the teen to empty his bag for an unrelated incident when the brass knuckles were discovered. The student was arrested on suspicion of criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. He is expected to be arraigned in Suffolk County Court on a later date.

A teenager suffered severe injuries in a crash near a Long Island intersection. It happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, in Lake Ronkonkoma. A 56-year-old Nesconset woman was driving a 2024 Volkswagen SUV on Smith Road, near Cenacle Road, when the vehicle struck the 14-year-old boy who was rollerblading in the roadway, according to the Suffolk County Police. Teen Duo Charged After Knife Found At Sachem North High School In Lake Ronkonkoma
Two teens have been charged following a dispute that allegedly prompted one of them to bring a knife to school on Long Island. A 15-year-old boy displayed the knife at his bus stop and was met by staff members as he exited the bus at Sachem High School North in Lake Ronkonkoma, according to Suffolk County Police.
