Election 2024: Poll Worker Threatens Voter, Tussles With Cops On Long Island, Police Say An election poll worker is accused of threatening a voter and fighting with police at a polling place on Long Island. The incident happened in Oceanside, at Oaks School #3 on Fortesque Avenue, shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. Nassau County Police said Mark Sebesta, age 54, of Baldwin, was serving as a poll worker when he got into an argument with a 25-year-old male voter. He is accused of threatening the man. 21-Year-Old Accused Of Impersonating Homeland Security Officer On Long Island A Long Island man has been apprehended after authorities say he impersonated an officer. According to Nassau County Police detectives, Seth Newman, age 21, of Great Neck, was driving a black 2021 Dodge Charger in New Hyde Park in the vicinity of Marcus Avenue and New Hyde Park Road at around noontime Sunday, Oct. 27.   He then activated amber flashing lights and a siren and was observed with what appeared to be a black handgun located near his hip, said police.
