23-Year-Old Passenger Killed In Crash In Region A Hudson Valley man who was a passenger in an Infiniti sedan was killed in a single-vehicle crash. The collision occurred in Dutchess County, in the town of Wappinger, at about 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, on All Angels Hill Road near Dugan Lane.  According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2007 Infiniti sedan with five occupants was traveling southbound on All Angels Hill Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle. Juvenile From Region Nabbed For Making 'Non-Specific' School Threat, Police Say A juvenile was charged with allegedly making a threat of mass harm after the FBI alerted the New York State Police of a school threat made in the region on TikTok. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Wappinger. Trooper AJ Hicks said an investigation determined the "non-specific threat originated from the town of Wappinger.  Investigators located and arrested the minor soon after, Hicks said. Bartender From Region Busted Increasing Tips On Credit Cards, Police Say A bartender in the region was busted for allegedly increasing tip amounts on credit cards to increase her pay. Dutchess County resident Melissa Dinsmore, 33, of Wappinger, was charged by the New York State Police on Friday, Sept. 20. According to Trooper AJ Hicks, the owner of the Publick House Restaurant and Bar in Pleasant Valley alerted police to the possible crime after being notified of the fraud by a customer.
