Student, 14, Threatens Shooting At High School In Region, Police Say A 14-year-old boy is accused of threatening to kill a classmate at a Capital Region school. Schenectady School District officials contacted police after learning that a student at Washington Irving School had threatened a 14-year-old classmate via Snapchat late Saturday night, Feb. 22, Schenectady Police said. Officers identified the suspect and determined that he threatened to bring a gun to school and kill one of his classmates following a dispute earlier in the week, police said. It happened in the hamlet of Rock Hill, on Highway 17 near Bridgeville Road, at around 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27.
