Duo Nabbed After Driver Held At Gunpoint In Region, Police Say Two people have been charged after they allegedly held a taxi driver in the Capital Region at knifepoint and stole money, causing injuries. Schoharie County residents James R. Parker, age 26, and Nicole Zielinski, age 50, both of Cobleskill, were charged on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Body Found After Fire At Storage Units In Region Body Found After Fire At Storage Units In Region
Body Found After Fire At Storage Units In Region State Police are investigating the discovery of a body following a structure fire at a storage facility in the region. Emergency services in Schoharie County responded around 4:10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, to reports of a fire at Superior Storage Units on Main Street in the town of Richmondville.  After firefighters extinguished the blaze, they found the remains of the dead person inside one of the units. Authorities are working to identify the deceased and determine the cause of the fire. The investigation is ongoing. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Fatal Crash: 22-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Region A 22-year-old was killed in a two-vehicle crash in the region. It happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, in Schoharie County in the town of Seward. An electric bicycle being operated by Mackenzie T. Bamberger of Cobleskill entered the intersection from Hill Road.  It was then struck by a vehicle northbound on State Route 10, according to New York State Police. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and called for emergency services.  Bamberger was airlifted from the scene to Albany Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Alert Issued For Capital Region Woman Missing Several Weeks Alert Issued For Capital Region Woman Missing Several Weeks
Alert Issued For Capital Region Woman Missing Several Weeks Police are asking for help in locating a woman from the region who has been missing for several weeks. Schoharie County resident Carlie Mace was officially reported missing on Monday, Aug. 5, weeks after relatives last had contact with her. Sheriff’s officials said her last known location was in Schenectady. Mace is 5-foot-6 and 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
