Before settling into the Hudson Valley, Zak! previously spent time in the New York Daily News newsroom and worked for hyperlocal digital news outlets on Long Island. He wrote sports for The Ithacan and The Ithaca Journal before taking his talents to the Pacific Northwest, where he served as the sports editor at the Shoshone News-Press until heading back east to work with Daily Voice.

Man Gunned Down Inside Prince George's County Store; Suspect At Large: Police (Developing) One person was killed in a shooting near the Iverson Mall in Prince George's County late on Thursday afternoon, police say. An investigation was launched shortly before 6 p.m. on Oct. 10 when officers were called to the 3700 block of Branch Avenue to investigate a reported shooting. Multi-Vehicle Crash Ties Up Traffic On I-66 During Afternoon Commute In Arlington Some lanes were blocked in Arlington during Thursday's afternoon commute as police investigated a multi-vehicle crash on I-66.
