Shotgun-Toting 11-Year-Old Lands Long Island Man In Handcuffs, Police Say A Long Island man is facing criminal charges after an 11-year-old boy was seen carrying a shotgun outside his home, police said. The incident happened in Bayville, at a residence on 7th Street, at around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. Nassau County Police said a 13-year-old boy was riding his bicycle when an 11-year-old boy carrying a shotgun came outside and told the teen to get away from his house. IDs Released For 5 Family Members Killed In Murder-Suicide On Long Island The identities have been released for five family members who were killed in a murder-suicide in a residential Long Island community. The incident happened just before noon on Sunday, Aug. 25 at a residence on a cul-de-sac in Syosset. Nassau County Police say officers who responded to the residence on 76 Wyoming Court for a report of shots fired discovered a man outside the home who "sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound."
