ID Released For 28-Year-Old From Wantagh Killed In Chain-Reaction Lynbrook Crash
The identity has been released of a 28-year-old killed in a chain-reaction crash during the height of the evening commute on Long Island. It happened on Friday, July 19, at around 5:30 p.m. in Lynbrook. A 28-year-old man was riding a white 2010 Ducati motorcycle eastbound on Peninsula Boulevard when he collided with the rear of a Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE) bus being driven by a 40-year-old woman. 2-Year-Old Boy Found Unconscious In Swimming Pool On Long Island
A toddler is hospitalized after being pulled unconscious from a swimming pool on Long Island. Emergency crews in Southampton were called to a North Haven residence on Sunset Beach Road for a 2-year-old boy found floating in a pool at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 7. Southampton Town Police said medics performed CPR on the child as he was transported to Southampton Hospital. The child was later transferred to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he remained days later. The incident is being investigated by Southampton Town Police detectives and code enforcement personnel.

2-Year-Old Pulled Unresponsive From Swimming Pool At Deer Park Home
A toddler was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Long Island home. The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, July 7, in Deer Park. The child, a 2-year-old boy, was pulled from the pool, and first responders began CPR upon arriving on the scene. A Westchester County man suffered serious injuries after lighting a firework on Independence Day evening on Long Island. According to Suffolk County Police, the incident happened in Copiague around 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4. The man, a 21-year-old resident of the town of Eastchester, was lighting a firework at a party in front of a house on the 200 block of Trouville Road when it exploded in his hand. Swimmer Drowns At Long Island Beach
A 54-year-old man died after being pulled from the water at a Long Island beach. Emergency crews in Southampton were called shortly before 3 p.m. Monday, June 24, for a drowning victim at Altenkirch County Park, located in the hamlet of Hampton Bays near Dune Road and Road H. Another beachgoer removed the man from the water and performed CPR, but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Southampton Town Police identified the man as Peter Dzakonski, of Hampton Bays. A second man at the beach was also hospitalized after reporting chest pain and difficulty breathing.
