Long Island Man Arrested After Counterfeit Cash Chase Shuts Down Busy NJ Highway
A police chase that spilled onto Route 4 in Paramus brought traffic to a halt Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 25 as officers pursued a suspect tied to a counterfeit cash scheme, authorities said.
The incident unfolded around 4:30 p.m. when Paramus and River Edge police began pursuing men later identified as Corey Jones, 29, of Roosevelt, NY, and Isaiah Corbin, 46, of Queens, NY, in connection with fake U.S. currency being used at the Bergen Town Center, Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.

Ronkonkoma Girl, 17, Has Been Missing For 4 Days
Authorities are asking for help in locating a Long Island teenager who has been missing for several days.
Chrismie Aurilus, 17, of Ronkonkoma, was last seen on Friday, Feb. 21, according to the New York State Missing Persons Clearinghouse.
Aurilus was last seen wearing a black vest, a coat with gray sleeves, a white shirt, gray sweatpants, and sneakers.
She may be in New York City, officials said.

The two Tennessee teens who fired at Pennsylvania State Troopers during a multi-state crime spree have been captured in Hartford, Connecticut, authorities announced.
Jeremiah Begley, 17, and Christian Guerrero Jr., 17, were taken into custody on Thursday, Feb. 27, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service, Hartford Police, and the PSP Fugitive Apprehension Unit, state police said. A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by an SUV on Sunrise Highway in Copiague, Suffolk County police announced on Sunday, Feb. 23.
Maryam Noor, 22, of Bellmore, was driving a 2023 Cadillac XT6 westbound near Bayview Avenue when she hit a man standing in the left lane at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, detectives said.
