Reward Offered 2 Years After 'Loving' Father Killed In Hit-Run Crash On Long Island Expressway
Two years after a beloved husband and father was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the Long Island Expressway, police are no closer to catching his killer. Robert Twiford, age 61, of Melville, died Dec. 5, 2022, after being struck on the off-ramp of eastbound I-495 at exit 60 in Ronkonkoma. Suffolk County Police said Twiford was lying in the roadway at around 8 p.m when he was struck by at least one vehicle, which fled the scene. 15-Year-Old Brightwaters Girl Has Been Missing Over Week
The search is on for a Long Island teenager who has been missing for more than a week. Delilah Santiago, age 15, of the village of Brightwaters, was last seen on Saturday, Nov. 23, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Additional details like what she was wearing or where she was last seen were not immediately available. Tractor Truck, Range Rover Among Vehicles Up For Grabs At Suffolk County Police Auction
If your holiday shopping list includes a new car, this could be the auction for you. The Suffolk County Police Department will hold its next impound auction on Saturday, Dec. 7. Among the more than 80 vehicles up for grabs are a tractor truck, a box truck, and a Range Rover SUV, according to photos shared by the agency. Attendees can also bid on several motorcycles. A Long Island man will spend nearly two decades behind bars after confessing to choking and raping his estranged wife. The Farmingville man, who prosecutors are not naming in order to protect the victim’s identity, was sentenced to 18 years in prison in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Nov. 18. Police are investigating after human remains were found not far from a high school on Long Island. A Long Island man confessed to forcing a homeless teenager into prostitution in exchange for providing her with food and shelter. Javesh Persaud, age 34, of Shirley, pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Friday, Oct. 25. A man and his dog were both struck and killed while walking on a busy Long Island street.
