AccuWeather Releases Winter Weather Outlook
Long-range forecasters for AccuWeather have just released their projections for the winter of 2022-23. Senior Meteorologist Paul Pastelok and his team are predicting La Niña will shape the weather patterns across the United States for the third straight year. A round of showers and isolated thunderstorms is expected in much of the region as a cold front moves through on Monday, Sept. 19. It will be another warm day with temperatures in the 80s and partly cloudy skies, the National Weather Service said. A slow-moving frontal system accompanied by rain and storms will bring as much as 4 inches of rainfall to the region. Most of the precipitation will fall from 2 p.m. on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5 through Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 6. A brand-new forecast for the winter of 2022-23 is calling for a cold, snowy winter.
