Man Nabbed For Spray Painting Graffiti On Multiple Buildings In Region: Police
A man was busted for allegedly spray painting multiple buildings with large graffiti letters in the region. Dutchess County resident Richard Bulson, age 40, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 27, for the Saturday, Sept. 21 incident on Main Street in Beacon. According to Beacon Police Chief Thomas Figlia, an investigation identified Bulson as responsible for the alleged crimes. Rock-Throwing Vandal Damages Fire Truck, Other Targets In Capital Region, Police Say
A 33-year-old man is accused of vandalizing a fire station and other targets in the region. Albany County resident Michael Cooper, age 33, of Cohoes, was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal mischief Thursday, July 11. Cohoes Police said officers were called to the city’s fire department on Central Avenue shortly after 6 p.m. that evening for vandalism to a fire truck. The vehicle’s windshield had been shattered by a rock, leaving nearly $1,500 in damage. Investigators identified Cooper as the suspected perpetrator and arrested him a short time later. Police are asking the public for help identifying a graffiti tagger who damaged property throughout the region. The incidents took place in Ulster County in Ellenville, a village in the town of Wawarsing on Saturday, Nov. 4 around 6 p.m. on Canal Street and Maiden Lane. Know this graffiti? Police want to know. Gov. Hochul Responds After Vandals Leave Racist Graffiti At Elementary School In Capital Region
Cleanup is underway at an elementary school in the region after vandals left behind racist graffiti and broken windows. The damage happened at Forts Ferry Elementary, part of the North Colonie Central School District in Albany County, sometime over the weekend of Saturday, Oct. 29, Superintendent Joseph Corr said in a statement to parents. In addition to the smashed windows, the vandals wrote racial slurs and drew “deplorable images” on the building’s exterior, Corr said. Teen Trio Accused Of Vandalizing Over Dozen Cars In Capital District
Three teenagers are facing criminal charges after allegedly vandalizing more than dozen vehicles in the Capital District. State police in Saratoga County were called Monday, Aug. 29, with reports that 14 vehicles had been damaged in the town of Schuylerville and Victory Mills. Damage was also reported to the Village of Schuylerville Visitors Center, located in Schuyler’s Canal Park, police said.
