Unsuspecting Americans Dying From Fake Pills With Fentanyl, DEA Says The US Drug Enforcement Administration is alerting the public of a sharp nationwide increase in potentially deadly fake prescription pills laced with fentanyl. DEA laboratory testing revealed that six out of 10 fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills now contain a potentially lethal dose of fentanyl. On Saturday, April 30, several law enforcement agencies around the Capital District took part in National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The annual partnership between local police and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) provides safe locations where people can properly dispose of unwanted prescription medications.
