Kathy Hochul announced that extra patrols will be on the lookout for drunk and drugged drivers over the Fourth of July weekend. Hudson Valley Duo Charged With Felony DWI In Unrelated Incidents Two men from the region were nabbed for alleged felony DWI in two separate incidents. Dutchess County residents Christopher J. Duquette, age 66, of Hyde Park, and Nelson Acevedo, age 53, of Beekman, were both charged on Sunday, June 30, said Capt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. Duquette was charged after deputies responded to a one-car crash around 8:50 p.m. on Route 9 for a report of a collision, Watterson said. Combative 20-Year-Old Busted With 'Ghost' Gun During Capital Region Traffic Stop, Police Say A routine traffic stop in the region ended with a 20-year-old in handcuffs on weapons charges. The Saratoga County incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, in Halfmoon on Tower Way. State Police said 20-year-old Shawn Koenig, of Pittsfield in Rensselaer County, was initially stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
