A 15-year-old girl is charged with murder after allegedly setting a residential fire in the region that killed a man. Emergency crews in Columbia County responded to a Livingston home on State Route 9 on Friday, June 7, for a residential fire with people trapped inside. A male resident was pronounced dead at the scene, according to New York State Police. On Monday, June 10, investigators identified the victim as 58-year-old Edmund Metz. Three teenagers are facing criminal charges after allegedly stealing a woman’s car at gunpoint and later crashing it while fleeing from police in the region, authorities said. The incident began at around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, when two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old threatened a woman with a loaded gun before stealing her car in Albany, near Benson and Partridge streets. Teen Trio Accused Of Vandalizing Over Dozen Cars In Capital District
Three teenagers are facing criminal charges after allegedly vandalizing more than dozen vehicles in the Capital District. State police in Saratoga County were called Monday, Aug. 29, with reports that 14 vehicles had been damaged in the town of Schuylerville and Victory Mills. Damage was also reported to the Village of Schuylerville Visitors Center, located in Schuyler’s Canal Park, police said. Teens Busted With AR-15 Rifle, Handgun In Capital District, Police Say
Two 16-and-17-year-old boys are facing charges after they were allegedly busted carrying loaded guns in the Capital District. Albany Police said they spotted the teens at around 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, as the boys walked near McCrossin Avenue and Thornton Street in Albany. When detectives tried to stop the teens as part of an ongoing investigation, they took off running, police said. 16-Year-Old Charged With Attempted Murder After Stabbing In Capital Region
A 16-year-old boy is facing attempted murder charges following a stabbing attack in Schenectady’s Central Park. The teen was arrested Wednesday, April 13, nearly a month after a 30-year-old Selkirk man was found sitting on a park bench suffering from multiple stab wounds, Schenectady police said.
