A 12-year-old boy is accused of making threats against a middle school in the region. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies were called just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, after a social media threat was discovered against O’Rourke Middle School in Burnt Hills. Deputies did not elaborate on the nature of the threat but determined that it was not credible. There was no disruption to school activities. A homecoming high school football game in the region was postponed because of a threat of gun violence. The threat was received several hours before the varsity contest in Dutchess County between rivals John Jay of East Fishkill and host Roy C. A student upset over a school policy threatened to carry out a mass shooting at a high school in the region, authorities said. In Albany County, the Watervliet Police Department was contacted on Thursday, May 18, with reports of a physical threat against Watervliet High School. 14-Year-Old Threatened To Bomb High School In Capital Region, Police Say
A 14-year-old is facing felony charges after allegedly threatening to bomb a high school in the Capital Region. State police in Schoharie County were called to Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, located on Highway 7 in Richmondville, just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. Troopers were informed of multiple social media posts by a student threatening to bomb the school, police said.
