A 12-year-old boy is accused of making threats against a middle school in the region. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies were called just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, after a social media threat was discovered against O’Rourke Middle School in Burnt Hills. A homecoming high school football game in the region was postponed because of a threat of gun violence. The threat was received several hours before the varsity contest in Dutchess County between rivals John Jay of East Fishkill and host Roy C. A student upset over a school policy threatened to carry out a mass shooting at a high school in the region, authorities said. In Albany County, the Watervliet Police Department was contacted on Thursday, May 18, with reports of a physical threat against Watervliet High School. 14-Year-Old Threatened To Bomb High School In Capital Region, Police Say
A 14-year-old is facing felony charges after allegedly threatening to bomb a high school in the Capital Region. State police in Schoharie County were called to Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, located on Highway 7 in Richmondville, just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. Troopers were informed of multiple social media posts by a student threatening to bomb the school, police said.
