Footprints In Snow Lead Detectives To Capital Region Burglar, Police Say It may just be the easiest case detectives have ever solved. An alleged commercial burglar in the region is behind bars after he forgot to cover his tracks, literally. Police in Albany were called at around 3:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7 for a burglary in progress at the Stop 1 Deli & Grocery on Second Avenue. By the time officers arrived, the culprit had fled with the store’s cash register.
