Beryl, which made landfall along the Texas coast as a Category 1 hurricane on Monday, July 8, will move into upstate New York and northern New England on Wednesday, July 10, starting late in the afternoon and continuing overnight. The system will arrive following a sunny and hot day on Thursday, Aug. 25 with a high temperature around 90 degrees. Following scattered severe thunderstorms overnight, a new round of showers and storms is expected to develop on Saturday, May 28. The expected time frame for storm activity from around midday into early Saturday evening. A slow moving cold front will trigger storm activity, the National Weather Service in a Hazardous Weather Outlook statement issued early Saturday morning. Isolated flash flooding is possible.
