A 14-year-old is facing charges after allegedly being caught with a knife on a school campus in the region. Police in Albany were called at around 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, for a person with a weapon at Albany High School. When they arrived, they located the student and arrested him without incident, according to Albany Police. Reports Of Student With Gun Prompt Lockdown At Capital Region High School
A high school in the region was placed on a lockdown after several students reported that a classmate had a gun. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Shenendehowa High School West in Clifton Park at around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, after a student told their parent that another student possibly had a gun, officials said. High School In Capital Region Placed On Lockdown
Students and staff at a Capital Region high school were on lockdown Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 20. Albany High School put lockdown procedures in place in response to “student altercations in the building,” according to a Facebook post to parents. Word that a student had brought a gun to campus sent two schools in the region into lockdown Wednesday morning, Sept. 14. In Warren County, students and staff at Glens Falls Middle School were placed on lockdown just after 10 a.m. after a student reported to a social worker that they saw what looked like a gun fall out of another student’s backpack, according to Glens Falls City Schools. Suspect Charged In Shooting That Led To School Lockouts In Capital District
A suspect has been charged after a shooting in the region forced several schools into lockouts. The shooting happened in Columbia County on Woods Road on Friday, June 10 in the town of Clermont. One injured victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment, police said.
