Father Shoots Son During Alleged Break-In At Capital Region Home, Police Say A man from the region is recovering after he was shot by his own father while allegedly breaking into his home. Deputies in Saratoga County were called at around 9 p.m. Sunday, June 30, for shots fired at a residence in the town of Providence located on Centerline Road. Sheriff’s officials said an investigation found that 34-year-old Ethan Chase, who is homeless, forced his way into the home of his father, 65-year-old Earl Chase. Man Charged With Making Threat Of Violence Against School District In Region A 37-year-old man from the region was charged with making an alleged threat against a school district in the region. Sullivan County resident Steven Kelly, of Narrowsburg, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 2 for allegedly making threats against the Sullivan West School District in Jeffersonville.  According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies received information shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, Kelly had made posts on social media expressing his dissatisfaction with the school district.  In his posts, he allegedly referred to a gun. New York State Police troopers were called to a home in Copake on Friday, July 1, after the victim returned home and saw that someone had broken in and damaged windows.
