42-Year-Old Found Dead In Home In Region
An investigation is underway after a person was found dead in the region. New York State Police say the homicide happened in Sullivan County on Saturday, Oct. 5 in the village of Monticello at a house on Lakewood Avenue. The victim has been identified as Jose Rodriguez, age 42, a resident of Monticello. Anyone with information related to the homicide is urged to contact SP Liberty BCI at 845-292-0280. The investigation is being conducted by state police, in conjunction with the Monticello Police Department and the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office,

Fatal Crash: Man From Region Veers Off Road, Hits Utility Pole, Rolls Vehicle
A man from the region was killed in a single-vehicle crash after his SUV veered off the roadway, hit a pole, and rolled over. The incident occurred in Sullivan County at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, in the Village of Monticello on Route 17B across from the Monticello Raceway. According to Lt. Mark Johnstone of the Monticello Police, witnesses saw an older man driving a 2012 Ford Escape westbound when it suddenly veered across the eastbound lanes. 3 Shot, Including 15-Month-Old In Region
An intensive investigation is underway after three people, including a 15-month-old boy, were shot in at a home in the region. The incident took place in Sullivan County in Monticello around 10 p.m. on Friday, May 5 at a home located at 15 Holmes St. According to Lt. Mark Johnstone, of the Monticello Police Department, officers responded to the home after receiving a 911 report of shots fired.
