A 12-year-old boy is accused of making threats against a middle school in the region. Saratoga County Sheriff’s deputies were called just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, after a social media threat was discovered against O’Rourke Middle School in Burnt Hills. Deputies did not elaborate on the nature of the threat but determined that it was not credible. There was no disruption to school activities. Federal investigators are asking for the public’s help after someone tried to derail a passenger train in the region. A railyard worker contacted the FBI’s field office in Albany in early June 2023 after noticing that someone had tampered with a portion of tracks in Saratoga County, on the Saratoga Corinth and Hudson Railroad in Corinth. Jail Employee In Capital Region Created 'Substantial Risk Of Injury,' Police Say
A jail employee in the region is facing charges over what he allegedly gave to an inmate. Saratoga County resident Michael Millington, age 23, was arrested Friday, March 24, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said Millington, a corrections officer at the Saratoga County jail, provided confidential information to the inmate, creating “a substantial risk of injury to another person.” Authorities did not say what kind of information he allegedly provided the inmate. Porch Pirates Hit 18 Homes On Capital Region Street, Here's How To Protect Your Packages
With the holiday shopping season in full swing, police are warning residents to protect themselves from porch pirates after more than a dozen homes were victimized on one street in the region. The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office said deputies are investigating after packages were stolen from at least 18 homes in Malta.
