Convicted Felon Tried Stabbing 2 Victims In Capital Region Home, Police Say
A convicted felon is facing a fresh set of charges after allegedly trying to stab two people inside a home in the region, authorities said.
Officers in Albany County were called at around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, with reports of an assault at a home in Watervliet on 4th Avenue, according to Watervliet Police.
When police arrived, they determined that 43-year-old Brad Bova, of Watervliet, had attempted to stab the victims with a large knife. He then barricaded himself inside the home.

Woman Threatened Man With Knife At Empire State Plaza, Police Say
A woman is facing charges for allegedly threatening a man with a knife at the Empire State Plaza in Albany.
Albany Police were called shortly after noon on Thursday, Sept. 29 with reports of an altercation at the Madison Avenue entrance to the plaza, according to police.
Investigators determined that 40-year-old Nina Cruz, of Albany, had displayed a knife “in an aggressive manner” during a verbal altercation with the victim, police said.
Cruz also damaged the victim’s vehicle, which was parked nearby, before the incident, according to police.
