Contractor Steals $85K From Capital Region Business, Police Say
A contractor from the Hudson Valley is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a business in the region. In Columbia County, a man contacted the Hudson City Police Department in October 2023 saying that a substantial sum of money had been stolen from his company’s bank account. A closer look revealed that over $85,000 had been pilfered from his account between November 2022 and October 2023. Seen Him? Alert Issued For Capital Region Man Missing Over 2 Months
Police are asking for help in locating a man from the region who has been missing for over two months. Columbia County resident Robert Coons was last seen Thursday morning, July 6, in the city of Hudson near Columbia and North 3rd streets, according to Hudson City Police. The location is right outside the Columbia County Human Services building. At the time of his disappearance, Coons was wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt. An intrepid snake is accused of breaking and entering into a business in the region - okay, maybe not the breaking part, but it definitely entered. Family Fight Ends With Man Stabbed In Capital Region, Police Say
A man is recovering after he was stabbed during a family altercation in the region. In Columbia County, police in the city of Hudson were called at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday, June 2, with reports of a large fight near North 5th street and Long Alley. When officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old man who had been stabbed in the chest with a knife, according to Hudson Police. The victim was taken by ambulance to Albany Medical Center, where is listed in stable condition. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man from the region who was reported missing. Glenn Crews, age 26, of Greene County, may be in the Hudson area in Columbia County, according to a Facebook post from the Hudson City Police Department on Wednesday, Feb. 15. The department said his friends are concerned for his well being. Police did not immediately say when the man was last seen. The search is on for a man accused of taking part in a brazen, daytime armed robbery in the Capital District. Police in Columbia County were called at around 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, with reports that a man had been attacked and robbed in Hudson. The victim told Hudson Police he was walking near 4th Street and Long Alley when two men approached him.
