A recall has been issued for a brand of packaged salad greens due to a possible health risk. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced that lēf Farms of Loudon, New Hampshire, is voluntarily recalling a single lot of the lēf Farms “Spice” Packaged Salad Greens ("best by" date 5/5/23, lot number SP10723- 1RGH1, UPC 8 50439 00709 1) produced in its Loudon, New Hampshire greenhouse because they have the potential to be contaminated with Escherichia coli 0157:H7 (E. coli) bacteria. Four third-prize winning Powerball tickets each worth $50,000 for the Saturday, April 1 drawing were purchased in New York. They each have four matching numbers and the Powerball. The tickets were sold at: Food Mart in Westchester County on West Post Road in White Plains; 7-Eleven in Nassau County at on Berry Hill Road in Syosset; Hannaford store in Warre County on Quaker Road in Queensbury; PMP Convenience in Queens, on Liberty Avenue in South Richmond Hill. Hannaford Store In Region Issues Ground Beef Recall
A grocery store in the region has issued a recall for ground beef over a possible safety hazard. In Saratoga County, the Hannaford supermarket in Ballston Spa, located on Rossi Way, is recalling all 81-percent ground beef that was sold on Sunday, Aug. 21, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Recalled products have a sell-by date of Wednesday, Aug. 24. They have a UPC code of 212041410711 and 212043305565. The ground beef is being recalled over concerns that it may contain foreign material, the company said. An LLC has claimed a $5 million New York Lottery prize. AOG For Change, an LLC based in the Albany County hamlet of Delmar, claimed a top prize in the lottery's Set for Life scratch-off game, NY Lottery announced on Tuesday, May 24. The group opted to receive the prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $2,680,079 after required withholdings, the lottery said. NY Lottery said the ticket was purchased at the Hannaford that is located at 579 Troy-Schenectady Road in Latham.
