Parents Charged In Region For Allegedly Not Paying Thousands In Child Support Sheriff's deputies in the region charged three people for allegedly failing to pay their child support. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has arrested the following individuals on Family Court warrants for child support violations: Melissa A. Lynch, age 36, of Swan Lake, was charged on Thursday, Feb. 15 for not paying $2,500 in child support. Man Charged With Making Threat Of Violence Against School District In Region A 37-year-old man from the region was charged with making an alleged threat against a school district in the region. Sullivan County resident Steven Kelly, of Narrowsburg, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 2 for allegedly making threats against the Sullivan West School District in Jeffersonville.  According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, deputies received information shortly before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1, Kelly had made posts on social media expressing his dissatisfaction with the school district.  In his posts, he allegedly referred to a gun. Trio Nabbed With Drugs, Gun At Inn In Region, Police Say Three men were charged with various drug possession charges following a warrants raid on an inn in the region. The warrants search occurred in Sullivan County in Monticello at the Monticello Inn around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28. The first search warrant was executed in room 218 where deputies arrested Jacob McCoy, aka “Scar”, age 50, of the Bronx.  McCoy, who is a 3-time felony offender, was found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, said Undersheriff Eric Chaboty of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office. 2 Found Dead Inside Home In Region Police are awaiting the results of autopsies after a man and a woman were found dead in a home in the region. The incident took place in Sullivan County around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 14 on DeBruce Road in Livingston Manor. According to Undersheriff Eric Chaboty of Sullivan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to the home for a report of two dead people inside. At the location deputies met the Livingston Manor Fire Department who cleared the building of any hazardous conditions, Chaboty said.
