Scotia Elementary Principal Nicholas Criscone Dies In Crash Students and colleagues are mourning the sudden loss of a beloved elementary school principal following his death in a car crash. The Saratoga County wreck happened at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20, in the town of Charlton on State Road. New York State Police said Nicholas Criscone, age 50, of Charlton, was driving southbound on Stage Road when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught on fire. Reported Stabbing At Schuyler Achievement Center In Albany Police are investigating reports of a stabbing at an elementary school in the region. Emergency crews in Albany were called to the Schuyler Achievement Center, located on Clinton Avenue, at around 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8 for a person suffering from a stab wound in the nurse’s office. An Albany Police Department spokesperson told Daily Voice that the incident is under investigation.
