Alert Issued For Capital Region 15-Year-Old Missing For 10 Days Police in the region are asking for help in locating a missing teenage girl who hasn’t been seen in over a week. Rensselaer County resident Francis Jett, age 15, was last seen in Troy on Saturday, Feb. 17, according to East Greenbush Police. No other information was given. New Update: Missing NY 17-Year-Old May Be Traveling With This Man, Police Say Police have released new details in the search for a missing New York teenager who may have traveled hours away from home. Rensselaer County resident Chante Ballo, age 17, of East Greenbush, was last seen shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, near Robert Lane and Red Mill Road. In an update Wednesday, Oct. 11, the East Greenbush Police Department said Chante is believed to be with 34-year-old Gabriel Vargas in the Richmond Hills area of Queens. The Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday, Jan. 19, that Jeremiah James Guyette had been identified as the sole suspect in the murder of Wilomeana “Violet” Filkins. Filkins was found dead in the living room of her East Greenbush home on Aug. 19, 1994.
