A powerful cold front approaching from the west has triggered widespread rainfall that will collide with post-tropical cyclone Philippe, leading to the potential for flash flooding in parts of the Northeast. A complex storm system accompanying a strong cold front could bring up to 4 inches of rainfall to parts of the Northeast leading to a new threat of flash flooding.
