Capital Region Man Beats Victim Unconscious, Police Say A Capital Region man was nabbed for allegedly beating another person unconscious that he did not know. The incident occurred in Saratoga County around 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, in Clifton Park. According to New York State Police Trooper Stephanie O'Neil, the victim, suffering from multiple visible injuries, went to the State Police headquarters to report the crime. The Saratoga County incident happened Wednesday, Jan. 17, at a residence in the town of Halfmoon. Deputies were called shortly before 7 p.m. for a burglary in progress. By the time they arrived, the suspect had fled.
