This story has been updated. A former patient is facing charges in connection with a hoax bomb threat that forced the partial evacuation of a hospital in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 8 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Saratoga Hospital on Church Street in Saratoga Springs. Slot machines and blackjack games came to an abrupt halt after a bomb threat was made against a casino in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at the Saratoga Casino Hotel located in Saratoga Springs. Police said guests and employees were evacuated after a bomb threat was made against the property. A busy Sunday at a mall in the region quickly turned to fear when officials began evacuating the building due to a bomb threat. The incident took place in Dutchess County at the Poughkeepsie Galleria on Sunday, Oct. 29 just before 2 p.m. Capt. Man Calls In Bomb Threat To Daycare In Capital Region, Police Say
A 28-year-old man is accused of calling in a bomb threat to a daycare in the region, authorities said. The incident happened Wednesday, March 15, in Saratoga County, at a childcare center in Clifton Park, according to State Police. Troopers were called at around 2:30 p.m. after a man reportedly called the daycare and stated, “bomb threat." The call prompted employees to activate their emergency response plan and evacuate children and staff members from the building. A 14-year-old is facing felony charges after allegedly threatening to bomb a high school in the Capital Region. State police in Schoharie County were called to Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, located on Highway 7 in Richmondville, just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7. A 911 call reporting an armed man with pipe bombs in the Capital District was all just a hoax, police said. Officers were called shortly after noon Monday, Aug. 15 following reports of a man who allegedly had a gun and had placed two pipe bombs in Schenectady near Webster Street and 7th Avenue. Albany Jewish Community Center Evacuated After Bomb Threat
The Albany Jewish Community Center was briefly evacuated Wednesday, May 4, over a bomb threat. Albany Police said the threat came in early Wednesday morning via email. Officers and K-9’s searched the building on Whitehall Road, but found nothing to indicate the threat was authentic, police said.
