Man Attacked, Killed By Dogs In Albany Police in the Capital District are investigating after a man was mauled and killed by a pack of dogs. The incident occurred in Albany around 5 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 9, in the 500 block of Central Avenue. According to Albany Police, officers responded to reports of a man being attacked by several dogs. Upon arrival, they found the dogs fatally attacking the man, and in an attempt to stop the attack, one of the responding officers discharged his duty weapon, striking at least one dog. 225-Pound Black Bear That Attacked Connecticut Boy Had 'Rare Pieces Of Macaroni' In Stomach A 225-pound black bear that attacked a 10-year-old boy had rare pieces of macaroni in his stomach, according to a necropsy. The male bear attacked the boy in Litchfield County on Sunday, Oct. 16, as he played in his grandparent's yard in the town of Morris. Following the attack, which left the boy with non-life-threatening injuries including claw marks on his back and injuries to his leg, the bear was euthanized. NY Woman Killed By Her Own Dog In Backyard Attack A 70-year-old New York woman was killed by the family's 100-pound pit bull that was later killed by police. The Long Island incident took place in the hamlet of Albertson in North Hempstead on Wednesday, July 27 around 1:20 p.m. in the backyard of a home on Terrace Court. Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said during a news conference the woman's husband came home and found the dog attacking his wife in the backyard.
