Cold Case: Murder Of Albany's 'Baby Moses,' Solved After 27 Years
After some 27 years, detectives have solved the cold case murder of a baby boy in the region.
Albany County resident Keri Mazzuca, age 52, of Altamont, was charged in connection with the Sunday, Sept. 7, 1977 homicide, on Saturday, Sept. 14.

Dontie Mitchell, age 43, of Albany, was indicted on murder and related charges by an Albany County grand jury on Friday, Aug. 18, in the death of Shieer Leggett.
According to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office, Mitchell, either alone or with others, shot Leggett to death in Cohoes, near Main and Schuyler streets, on Friday, Aug. 11.

Suspected Gunman Charged In Killing Of Rashad Nicholson In Capital Region
More than a year after a 30-year-old man was shot and killed in the region, the suspected gunman has been hit with formal charges.
Nicholas Anderson, age 28, of Albany, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Rashad Nicholson in Albany County Court on Monday, Nov. 28.
Prosecutors said Anderson intentionally caused Nicholson’s death when he shot him near Third and Oak streets in Albany on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
