Bank Robber Nabbed 7 Minutes After Fleeing Capital Region Branch, Police Say
An accused bank robber didn’t have much time to spend his proceeds. Alex Courtwright, 49, of Watervliet, was arrested just seven minutes after he robbed the M&T bank on Hoosick Street in Troy on Monday morning, Feb. 10, Troy Police said. Courtwright entered the bank at around 11:42 a.m. and demanded money from the teller before making off with several hundred dollars, police said. Crash Involving Police Officer Leaves 1 Dead In Capital Region
A man is dead following a car crash involving a police vehicle in the region. The Rensselaer County crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, in Troy near Hoosick and 15th streets, according to Troy Police. Investigators said a Troy Police officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call with lights and sirens on when he collided with a civilian vehicle. Four Men Busted With Ghost Gun In Capital District, Police Say
Four men from the Capital District are facing charges after they were allegedly caught with a so-called ghost gun. Troy Police initially stopped their car early Wednesday morning, June 15, near Hoosick and 15th streets.
