Body Found On I-90 By DOT Employees In Capital Region: Police

New York State Department of Transportation employees made a horrifying discovery while working near I-90 in Rensseleaer, prompting a police investigation.

A dead body was found on I-90 along the Patroon Island Bridge in the Capital Region.

The employees found a body at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, near the Patroon Island Bridge near the eastbound lane in Rensselaer, said Trooper Jennifer Alvarez.

The right lane was closed for approximately 1.5 hours for investigation purposes and has since been reopened.

The investigation is ongoing. There is no perceived public threat at this time.
