Toyota Recalling 43K Hybrid Vehicles Due To Faulty Tow Hitch Covers
Tens of thousands of Toyota SUVs are subject to a sizeable recall due to a faulty tow hitch cover that may increase the possibility of a crash, officials say. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced a recall of approximately 43,400 Toyota Sequoia Hybrids that may have tow hitch covers that can detach from the bumper and fall into the roadway, causing a hazard for other drivers. Woman Dies When SUV Crashes Into Tree In South Jersey, State Police Say
A Fairfield Township woman died when her SUV crashed into a tree, authorities said. Elizabeth Greco, 61, died in the crash in Fairfield on Monday, Aug. 12, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the crash at milepost 0.45 on Fairton Millville Road at around 1:34 p.m. Investigators said Greco was driving west in a Kia Sorento when she lost control of the SUV. The Kia went off the road and struck a tree. Greco was pronounced dead from her injuries. The crash remained under investigation.
