High Winds Wreak Havoc In NJ Leaving Roads Closed, Hundreds Without Power
Wind gusts up to 50 mph were wreaking havoc across New Jersey on Friday, Aug. 9. As of 2:30 p.m., thousands of residents were without power and multiple roadways were closed due to downed wires and related crashes. NJ Man ID'd In Fatal Triple Tractor-Trailer Crash On I-81 In Lebanon: PSP
The man who died after three tractor-trailers crashed on Interstate 81 on Saturday morning, Aug. 3, has been identified by the Pennsylvania State Police Adrian Jemmott, 31 of Trenton, New Jersey died at the scene of the triple tractor-trailer crash, PSP Jonestown Investigator Ryan Schuetrumpf detailed in the release on Aug. 4. A 72-year-old driver from Florida was killed in a crash along Route 49 in Atlantic County, authorities said. Troopers responded to the crash at about 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, on Route 49 West at milepost 49 in Estell Manor, according to New Jersey State Police spokesman Sgt. Charles Marchan. Based on a preliminary investigation, Mark Jones of Cape Coral, FL, was driving a Ford Escape when it traveled off the road and struck a tree, Marchan said. The "Tea time Hill" wildfire had not been contained at all as of 3 p.m., the New Jersey Forest Fire Service said.
