A New Jersey man who the NY Times says is a veteran of the U.S. Army has been found guilty of assaulting a police officer at the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot.
Brian Glenn Bingham, 38, of Pennsville, has been found guilty of felony offenses of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding an officer from the Metropolitan Police Department, the U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia said on Tuesday, Nov. 4 — the day before Election Day 2024 (criminal complaint here).

James "Jim" Osler, of Somers Point, died on Aug. 24 due to complications of kidney disease, according to his obituary on the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home website. He was 36 years old.
A U.S. Army veteran who served six years, Jim worked as an HVAC Technician for the Local 68 at Bally's Casino in Atlantic City, his obituary says.
A GoFundMe for the family had raised more than $3,400 as of press time.

American Water Employee Killed In NJ Construction Zone Crash Was Hardworking Dad
Kyle Sease was not just an American Water Employee.
He was a father, a son, a husband, a U.S. Army veteran, and so much more.
"This was my baby," his heartbroken mother, Joanne Devine, said in a Facebook post. "My son. He was so much more than an 'American Water Employee.'"
Sease, 26, was killed and three of his colleagues injured when their crew was hit by a vehicle at a job site on White Horse Pike in Magnolia on Wednesday, May 29, just before 10 a.m.
