Woman, Two Dogs Rescued After Being Submerged In Water: Gloucester PD
A woman and her two dogs were rescued after they became trapped in partially frozen water in Camden County on Sunday, Jan. 5, authorities said. At 1:45 p.m., officers and firefighters responded to Timber Creek Dog Park at 1701 Chews Landing Rd. in Blackwood and found the woman and her two dogs stuck in the water, Gloucester Township police said. First responders used specialized equipment to rescue the woman, who was approximately 35 feet from the shoreline and partially submerged in freezing water, police said. A multimillion-dollar waterfront home was destroyed by a fire on Long Beach Island, according to reports. Officers responded to the scene at around 4:18 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, the Long Beach Township Police Department said in a news release. The home was located on Holly Drive in the Loveladies neighborhood. Police said several fire departments responded in chilly 20-degree weather and got control of the fire. Two people were hospitalized after a stabbing and a house fire in Bridgeton, authorities said. Bridgeton police responded to a 27-year-old man who arrived at Inspira Hospital on the afternoon of Saturday, Oct. 5, the department said in a news release. A Pennsylvania man was airlifted to a hospital after a crash involving an ambulance heading to an emergency in Cape May County, authorities said. Service to NJ Transit and Amtrak trains was disrupted for the second time this week on Thursday, June 20 due to both power issues and brush fires along the NJ Turnpike, officials said. Amtrak service between Philadelphia and New Haven had been suspended while NJ Transit service in and out of NY Penn Station was also suspended, due to power issues on the Amtrak line, NJ Transit said.
