The first baby of 2025, Cataleya Lopez, made her grand entrance at the stroke of midnight, kicking off the new year with joy and hope. Born to proud parents Julissa and Manfer Lopez of Neptune City, Cataleya weighed 6 pounds and 12 ounces. Man Sentenced For 2021 New Year's Day Stabbing At South Jersey Park, Prosecutors Say A Ventnor City man will spend several years in prison after stabbing a man in Absecon on New Year's Day nearly four years ago, authorities said. William Clanton, 24, was sentenced on Thursday, Nov. 7 to three years in state prison, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.
