Man Admits To Driving High On Meth, Injuring Four People In Toms River Crash: Prosecutors
A Jackson Township man admitted to driving a stolen pickup while high on methamphetamine in a crash that injured another man and three children, authorities said. Charles Sharkey Jr., 35, pleaded guilty on Monday, Oct. 21 to aggravated assault, driving while intoxicated, and certain person not to possess a firearm, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Woman Killed When SUV Crashes Into Woods Off Jersey Shore Road, Police Say
A Manchester Township woman was killed when her SUV crashed into the woods in Lacey Township, authorities said. Rosemary Pfluge, 72, of Whiting, died in the crash on Saturday, Aug. 17, the Lacey Township Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the scene on County Route 539 near milepost 20 at around 11:28 p.m. Police found a 2012 grey Jeep Liberty partially overturned about 50 feet in the woods. Three people in their 20s were killed in a South Jersey crash early Saturday, Aug. 17, police said. A 2006 BMW operated by Ian P. Rodriguez, of Millville, was heading west on Mayslanding Road at a high rate of speed when it suddenly left the roadway to the right on the approach of Panther Road around 8:25 a.m., Vineland Sgt. N. Driver, 83, Killed In 2-Car Crash In South Jersey: Police
An 83-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash in Burlington Township, authorities said Rose Zampino, of Burlington Township, was driving a Mitsubishi sedan north on Route 541 near Kelly Drive at about 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, when a southbound Volvo SUV struck her vehicle, Burlington Township police said.
