An Egg Harbor Township resident was accused of driving under the influence in a crash that killed a Somers Point man, authorities said. Oriel Dixon, 38, was charged with driving while impaired, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Dec. 17. According to state police data, the crash happened near the intersection of Blackman Road and Carrann Lane. 'Armed And Dangerous' Teen Wanted In Bridgeton Man's Killing, Police Say
Police were searching for a teen believed to be "armed and dangerous" after a Bridgeton man was killed, authorities said. Kevon Williams, 24, died in the shooting on Sunday, Nov. 24, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the scene on the 100 block of Cottage Avenue at approximately 11:18 a.m. Police found Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A Woodstown man reportedly admitted to having about a half-dozen beers before the crash that killed Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, arrest records said. Sean Higgins, 43, was facing several charges including two counts of assault by auto, according to court records. He was accused of striking the NHL star and his brother while they were riding bicycles in Oldmans Township on Thursday, Aug. 29. A state trooper was accused of trying to pay for sex from someone he believed was a teen girl and asking for sexual pictures, authorities said. Shane Dempsey, 31, of Brick Township, was arrested in Ewing on Monday, July 1, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release. A Camden County man was accused of passing out in the driver's seat with a gun and several other weapons in his vehicle in Wildwood Crest, authorities said.
