Route 42 Reopens After Suspect Plunges Out Hotel Window: Report
Route 42 in Deptford was briefly closed on Thanksgiving Day due to police activity. According to NBC10, the man jumped from the second floor of the Fairfield Inn on the 100 block of Hurffville Road and led officers on a foot pursuit. An officer shot the suspect, who was struck by the gunfire but continued to run, police said. A 32-year-old man from Lindenwold was found guilty of suffocating a Camden man in a Mount Laurel motel room after luring him there to be robbed in 2020, authorities said. The jury deliberated for two hours on Wednesday, June 26 before returning multiple guilty verdicts against Jawaad Ali in Superior Court in Mount Holly, according to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L.
