Teen Identified In Deadly South Jersey Shooting, Prosecutors Say
Authorities have released the name of the Sicklerville teen who was shot and killed in a Monroe Township neighborhood. Qaasir Greenidge, 19, died in the shooting in Monroe Township on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024, the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Officers responded to a gunshot report near Texas and Oklahoma avenues in the Colonial Estates neighborhood at around 8:08 p.m. A K9 officer found Greenidge in a nearby backyard suffering from a gunshot wound. NJ Man Pleads Guilty To Toms River Man's Grisly Dismemberment, Prosecutors Say
A Brick Township man admitted to his role in the dismemberment of a Toms River man's body, authorities said. Jared Krysiak, 34, pleaded guilty on Monday, Dec. 16 to desecration of human remains, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said in a news release. Krysiak was among the four people indicted in the killing of 56-year-old Kerry Rollason. Deadly Double-Shooting Investigated In Trenton
A deadly double-shooting is under investigation in Trenton, authorities said. Jonathan Applegate, of Trenton, was killed in the shooting on Tuesday, June 11, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. His age was not released. Authorities have released additional information in the double shooting Wednesday, June 12 in Carteret. Two females were found having suffered gunshot wounds on Roosevelt Avenue around 9 a.m., and were airlifted to area hospitals, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Carteret Police Chief Dennis McFadden said. As of 2:30 p.m., one victim had died and the other remains critical, Ciccone and McFadden said.
